Grady McMillin (b. 2006)

“The mountains are calling and I must go” - John Muir

Grady McMillin is an emerging composer, musician and songwriter. Born and raised in Houston, TX he is now currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he is studying Music Composition at the University of Michigan. His work is greatly inspired by his own life experiences and the natural world around him. He has arranged and composed works for small ensembles and choirs while also writing, performing and recording 3 of his own folk albums.

As a singer and guitarist, who also plucks and strums the mandolin and banjo from time to time, he immerses himself in the folk genre, creating music that puts him back into the mountains. While writing popular and singer/songwriter music that lives and breathes in a more folksy genre, he also writes in the “classical” genre, with works for string quartets, accompanied and acapella choirs, piano trios and more.

Grady is currently working on great things. Check out what he’s up to on social media @gradys.music. For inquiries email gradymcmillinmusic@gmail.com or visit the contact page.
